G|A| BRAND DESIGN : LOGO AND CORPORATE IDENTITY

We designed the G|A| Brand Design logo recently. The Brand Design logo is to be derived from the mother logo, only that we have to modernise it. Below is the logo of the mother brand of G A Design International.

G A Design International is a leading Interior and Architectural Design practice specialising in Hospitality Design worldwide. Over the last decade they have worked closely with a wide variety of hotel operators, developers and architects on a range of five star new construction, renovation and design & build projects. G|A| Brand Design provides branding solutions to their mother clients and beyond.

THE PROBLEMS :
  • The mother brand does not have a tight corporate look. There are a lot of elements that do not gel together.
  • The mother brand logo is very long and this does not fit a lot of stationery.

THE SOLUTION :
  • To condense GABD logo to fit all stationery.
  • To create a graphic that hold the logotype together so that it adds more depth.
  • To create a graphic from the logo that acts as a holding secondary graphic on collaterals.

There is no bridging graphic for G|A| International and G|A| Brand Design. The only thing is the G|A| in front. It is a mere type solution and that seemed to make GABD look quite weak especially when it is coming in as a new member of prestigious brand architecture. In order for more cohesive brand bridging, we took the 2 strokes from G|A| and built a graphic bridge. This will also act as a secondary graphic for future collaterals.

On occasions when the secondary graphic can be used with the image, it is incorporated into the image, linking it with the type.
The 2 strokes can also be used to frame images.
This is an example of a chart we built into GADB presentation deck. It is not typical , yet it creates a light and fresh look for what is a very structured chart.
This is another example of how the 2 strokes can be used within several images on a page.
When introducing members or inserted thumbnail images onto a page, the strokes can be used on the right side to add a more branded look to the elements.
